CS Content Management

Paste the text, keep the design.

Live demo available

Your staff paste text and photos. AI lays out the page from your site’s own building blocks, code checks every piece before it is saved, and wording and photos are later edited directly on the live page. The design stays exactly as we built it.

From pasted text to a published page

A page builder hands staff a box that can wreck the layout. A plain form can’t express the page. This works the other way round: your team supplies the words and pictures, and the site keeps the design.

  1. Paste

Choose the kind of page, such as news or an event report, paste text from a document, a WeChat article or your notes, and add photos.

  2. Compose

AI builds the page from the blocks that kind of page allows: paragraphs, headings, lists, quotes, fact strips, tables and photos.

  3. Check

Code validates every block and photo. You read the real page in a preview, with any date, quote or link not found in your text flagged.

  4. Publish

Ask for changes in a sentence until the page is right, then publish in one click.

  5. Edit in place

Later, click any paragraph or photo on the live page to change the wording or swap the picture.

How your team uses it

Nothing to lay out

There is no page builder, and nothing in the editor offers a font, a colour or a column. Photos are resized in the browser as you add them and described once, so the composer knows what each picture shows before deciding where it goes.

If you want something different, you say so: use the third photo as the cover, split the long paragraph, move the event photos after the second heading.

The facts stay yours

The composer is told that every fact comes from the material you pasted. A date, number or name it can’t find appears as a visible placeholder to fill in before publishing, and after every turn it lists what it changed and anything it couldn’t find in your text.

Changing a live page

While signed in, open any page and choose Edit page. You can change the wording of any block, replace, add, remove or reorder photos, and edit captions. Save and publish puts the change live at once; Save as draft keeps it for later, and a pending draft is flagged in the admin so it isn’t forgotten.

Editing in place never changes a page’s structure. Adding a section or moving photos between sections goes back to the composer as a sentence.

Nothing is lost

Every save is a revision, and any earlier version can be restored. A save that would overwrite someone else’s newer changes is refused rather than merged. Unpublishing takes a page off the site without deleting it, and a renamed page address redirects from the old link.

Chinese and English

Titles and summaries are written in each language your site uses. The body stays in the language you pasted: it is typeset, not machine-translated. Keyword search works across Chinese and English pages, and with the optional search features turned on, an English search can also find a page written in Chinese.

Change the design without redoing the content

Pages store only content. The look of the site lives in one stylesheet we write, so a redesign replaces the stylesheet and every existing page follows. The hundredth page your staff publish sits in the same design as the first.

The demo site shows this directly. A Theme menu in its header switches between four designs on the same pages, and a test confirms the page structure is identical under each one.

An optional question box, with a spending cap

A site can offer visitors an Ask the site box that answers questions from its published pages and cites the parts it used. It is the one place a visitor can cause an AI call, so it is capped: per visitor each minute and each day, and for the whole site by a daily count and a daily dollar budget.

Off-topic questions cost nothing, because no AI call is made without relevant material from the site, and an answer that doesn’t cite the site is discarded. When a cap is reached, the box says so in the visitor’s language and keyword search keeps working.

How it is delivered, and what you own

Installed into a site we build

CS Content Management isn’t a service you sign up for. It installs into a website we design and build for you. We set up the kinds of pages you publish regularly, such as news, columns, event reports or profiles, each with its own rules: which blocks it may use, which fields must be filled before publishing, and whether quotes must match the source word for word.

Your accounts, your costs

The site runs on accounts your organization owns, and you pay for AI usage directly. The AI usage behind a page is small, and revising a page costs less than composing it. The admin usage page shows the estimated spend, and a monthly limit set with each AI provider is the backstop.

The hand-off

Your staff receive a maintenance manual in their own language, with screenshots of your site’s admin. It covers the composer, editing in place, the pages list, the photo library and costs.

Who does what

Your staff add, edit, publish and unpublish pages, change wording and photos, rename page addresses and restore earlier versions. We handle new kinds of pages, design changes, the home page and other structural pages, domains and keys, and raising the question box limits if real visitors reach them.

Where it came from

The approach was first built for the Asia-Pacific Youth Growth Center, whose staff compose their reports and news by pasting text from documents and WeChat articles and choosing photos. CS Content Management takes that site’s building blocks, composer and on-page editor and makes them reusable in any site we build.

The demo site is its first customer. Every page on it, including its documentation, was composed from a plain-text file through the same composer your staff would use.
